Healthy Boundaries in Giving

In your quest to be positive, supportive & generous to those around you, know that it is perfectly ok to set boundaries.

Love is one of the most beautiful things known to mankind, but it should always be accompanied by wisdom. As you journey to become the best version of yourself, you'll often find that you may wrestle with how and to whom you should give your time, attention & resources.

Be generous.

But readily assess if you are in a healthy position to give of yourself. If you find that you are sacrificing your own personal well being to ensure the well being of others, understand that you're putting yourself in a dangerous position. This kind of pattern is a quick route to burn out, resentment & an unhealthy mental, emotional, spiritual & physical state.

If you have to say no to a need that someone presents, stand behind your decision without guilt. Those who truly value your well-being would never make you feel bad for declining a request.

Self care is key, and it's only when you're whole & healthy that you can then give to others.
